Fee
The fee for an Assumed Name Certificate to be filed and recorded is $15.00 which includes the base charge, 1 business name to be indexed and 1 owner name to be indexed. An additional $.50 is charged for each name to be indexed after that.
Example:
Business Name: John Smith Car Service (1 name)
Owner Name: John Smith, owner (1 name)
= Charge: $15.00
Business Name: John Smith Car Service (1name)
Owner Name: John Smith, owner (1name)
Owner Name: Jane Smith, owner (2name)
= Charge: $15.50
Accepted forms of payment: cash, money order, cashier’s check, personal checks
Also accepted are Credit Cards: Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express
