Donna Klaeger was sworn into office as the Burnet County Judge on January 1, 2007. She is the first woman in history to serve on Burnet County Commissioner’s Court. She has served Burnet County as Treasurer for eight years, has served as Executive Director of The Seriff Foundation and the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce, as Director of Development at Seton Highland Lakes Hospital and has owned and managed a ladies and children’s clothing and gift store in Marble Falls.
After taking office in 2007, the County Court of Law Judge and County Attorney requested assistance in County Court to address backlog, increase efficiency in moving cases through the system and to save taxpayer dollars by avoiding the need to hire another judge.
Judge Klaeger began her judicial responsibilities in September 2007 and has all Statutory County Judge jurisdiction. She hears including, but not limited to, probate, arraignments, juvenile detention hearings, etc.

Donna moved to Burnet County in January of 1991 from San Antonio, Texas in which her 15 year career focused on Business Administration and Management. She is married to Robert Klaeger, a local attorney and has 3 children, Megan, Charlie and Bobi. Her family are members of the First Baptist Church in Marble Falls.
