Burnet County Continues Response and Recovery Efforts Following July 4th Flood
Burnet County continues to respond to the devastating flooding that impacted our community on July 4th, 2025. We are deeply saddened to confirm that there are currently five (5) confirmed fatalities and one (1) person still missing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected, and our first responders who continue search operations.
To assist impacted residents, a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will open tomorrow at the Burnet Community Center, located at 401 E. Jackson Street, Burnet, TX. The MARC will remain open through Friday, July 18th, bringing together local, state, and nonprofit partners in one location to help residents access essential recovery services and support.
A debris collection site is also available for the community at 2411 Ranch Road 963, Burnet, TX. The site is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for residents to dispose of flood-related debris safely. Additional days will be addressed as needed.
A community memorial service is being planned in collaboration with the Burnet County Ministerial Alliance. Details will be announced once plans are finalized.
Burnet County officials urge residents to remain cautious in flood-affected areas and to continue monitoring official updates as recovery efforts progress.
