Burnet County Development Services is responsible for Building/Floodplain Development Permits, Septic/OSSF permits, subdivision planning, platting/re-platting, and RV Parks.  In this same office we also have the 9-1-1 Addressing Coordinator.  A 9-1-1 Address is required before any building or septic permits will be issued.  Burnet County has no ZONING.

Health Inspections are handled by the Department of State Health Services in Temple, Texas.  To schedule an inspection for restaurant or foster care facility please call their office at 254-778-6744.

Order Prohibiting Solid Waste Disposal and Processing Facilities - a copy of the order can be found here.

Hill Country Recycle - 2000 2nd St, Marble Falls, TX (830) 693-3667 Hours of Operation are Monday-Friday, 8am noon and 1pm - 5pm. Hill Country Recycle will accept paper, cardboard and plastic. Please be sure you are recycling plastic labeled #1 and #2 only. They cannot accept glass products.
